多嚢胞性卵巣症候群(PCOS)は、排卵障害による不妊症の一種。
卵巣の表面が硬くなり、卵子が排卵しにくくなる。 クロミフェン療法では排卵が起こらないことが多い一方、HMGを用いて排卵を誘発すると多胎妊娠や卵巣過剰刺激症候群[OHSS]を起こしやすい。
PCOS の治療には薬物療法と手術療法があって、手術療法では腹腔鏡を用いて卵巣の表面の一部をレーザーまたは電気メスで焼却。 薬物療法には、クロミフェン、HMG を使うが、先の問題がある。
新たな薬物療法として、経口糖尿病薬の効果が報告されているので、これを検証する。

多嚢胞性卵巣症候群 （PCOS） は卵巣の表面が硬くなり、卵子が排卵しにくくなる病気です。
PCOSはクロミフェン療法では排卵が起こらないことが多い一方、HMGを用いて排卵を誘発
すると多胎妊娠や卵巣過剰刺激症候群 （OHSS） を起こしやすい病気です。
PCOS の治療には薬物療法と手術療法があります。
手術療法では腹腔鏡を用いて卵巣の表面の一部をレーザーまたは電気メスで焼却します。
手術後に薬を用いず、自然に排卵する率は 約２０％ とやや低率ですがクロミフェン、H
MG を併用した場合の排卵効果は手術前より高くなるとともに、多胎妊娠や卵巣過剰刺激
症候群の発生率は低くなります。 ただし手術効果は半年−１年しか持続しません。
